It takes many volunteers to make Union Congregational Church run. From helping usher or providing Coffee Fellowship for Sunday Services to teaching Sunday School to helping at church workdays, we need your help. We also need help with various committees to make things run smoothly, below are some ways that you can help us.
Sign up and make a difference.
Sign up to work with our active children’s program. We need teachers and people to give the Children’s Moment in church on Sunday Mornings and to work special events like Vacation Bible School in August.
Each Sunday following the church service we gather for a time of greeting and fellowship. The fellowship time is hosted by a different volunteer each week. The volunteer is asked to provide a light snack, make coffee and setup before the service, host the fellowship time and clean up afterward. This is a great way to get to know other members and friends. The Fellowship Committee can answer questions and address your concerns. Please sign up and make the fellowship time the place to be!
You know those friendly people that greet you and give you your bulletins before the service and pass the offering plate? Well those people had volunteered and you can too! We need two ushers every Sunday. It is easy, fun and a great way to serve the church.
Each year we elect members of the congregation to serve on the Church Council. Each Councilmember has a primary area of responsibility; however, they can’t do the job all by themselves. It takes other volunteers to help get things done. Here are the areas that need committee members each year. Look over the list and see how you can get involved.
