Every Voice Matters
Welcome to UCC, where every voice matters!
We firmly believe that every person, regardless of their age or background, has something valuable to contribute to our community.
In keeping with this belief, our ministry to young people is designed to foster an inclusive and supportive environment where every child is welcomed and encouraged to participate. From the engaging Children’s Message during worship to our weekly Sunday School and nursery care, we make sure that children of all ages have opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with one another.
But that’s not all!
We are committed to going above and beyond to ensure that every voice is heard and valued. That’s why we offer a variety of programs that cater to the unique needs and interests of each child. Some of our highlights include Sunday School, Summer Adventure Camp, Christmas Pageant.
If you have any questions or want to learn more about our ministry, don’t hesitate to reach out to our knowledgeable and caring leader, Rev. Kelly Jo Clark. She is always happy to provide more information and help you get involved. So come join us and let your voice be heard!
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
– Matthew 19:14

There’s something for everyone
Children’s Ministry
Every Sunday morning we have a lively Children’s Message during the first part of worship. Then, children of all ages are invited to go to Sunday School or nursery care. The curriculum we use varies throughout the year. Currently we are using “Hands-On Bible Learning” from Group Publishing.
Confirmation
Teens who are in 8th grade participate in an eight month long journey of exploring their faith. In the last few years, we have even begun to call it “Faith Exploration” because the purpose of the class is not necessarily to join the church. The purpose of the class is to explore the many aspects of faith and gain tools for living in that faith for your whole life.
Family Night
During a UCC Family Night you and your children can not only deepen your understanding of God but also strengthen your familial bonds and build meaningful connections with other families who share similar beliefs and values.
Summer Adventure Camp
Also known as Vacation Bible School, UCC Summer Adventure Camp is held over four evenings where young people can play games, hear stories and do crafts while their parents have a date night or go for a bike ride!
Parents’ Night Out
Hosted twice a year, young people will hang out at UCC and play games, hear stories and do crafts while their parents have a well- deserved night out.
Urban Plunge
We work with various organizations who directly help people in need. In years past we have gone on trips to New Orleans, Puerto Rico, Seattle and Guatemala. These trips are meaningful for the communities we serve as well as the youth who come back transformed from the experience.
